I am a UCLan Filmmaking BA hons graduate, and Royal Television Society Scholar.
My undergrad film For The Record will be entering film festivals from June 2025.
I have recently completed work as 1st AD on a feature film in support of Andy's Man Club, That One Man and won an internship as podcast producer at UCLan.
I continue to work with a local Youth Group, documenting progress on their projects. My collaboration with Preston musician Deertrap is ongoing, and is an area of work that I am proud of.
I am a thougthful, creative filmmaker with a love for narrative. Which is why I called my company People Need Stories.
Ellen has a very professional ability to create a welcoming environment to work on. I worked with her before being on set focussing on the script and her ability to take criticism and turn it into a positive outcome was brilliant. She is a very passionate and dedicated filmmaker and her enthusiasm comes through on her work, rubbing off on those surrounding her on set. Absolute pleasure to work with and I look forward to the next opportunity
I worked with Ellen on a music video. I felt completely looked after during the shoot. Ellen was my constant reliable crew member, always offering me help and coming up with new great ideas. She is reliable, very hard working and an absolute pleasure to be around, I can’t wait to work with Ellen again in the future.
Ellen is a delight to work with in any capacity, and I am privileged to say I have worked with her many times. She is incredibly organised, proactive and enthusiastic. As a 1st AD, Ellen seamlessly handles any challenges that emerge and always manages to keep a positive attitude and a level head, even amidst on-set chaos. As a director, she is passionately engaged throughout all stages of the production process, creating a safe environment to foster creativity and elicit the best work from her crew. Overall, Ellen is a pleasant, highly driven and competent collaborator.
Working on "For the Record" has been an absolute highlight for me! The crew were so welcoming and professional - like they'd been working together for years. Ellen especially was an actor's dream as a director. She was clear, concise, organised but even more important than all that - she fosters a real person-centred approach on the set. Above all else she prioritised the wellbeing of every single person on that set - from actors, to crew, to extras, to shop-owners! No one was left out, and no one left unhappy with what they had accomplished for the day. If every job in future is half as rewarding as this one, then I'd be a very lucky man indeed.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting and working with you! You’re amazing and your energy is so infectious.
